About CFOS/H
CFOS is an advance fiber optic training for those wanting to learn more about specialized fiber optic applications or who wish to develop greater skills in the process of fiber optic installation
The CFOS/H course covers training on Fiber To The Home/Premises/Curb (called FTTx). As FTTx became more popular, training other personnel about FTTx created a need for a shorter course explaining the advantages of FTTx over other broadband technologies as well as the technology. It is a structured 5 days training program that consists of in-class lectures and hands-on activities.
LEARNING OUTCOME
Upon completion of the course, participants shall able to;
- Understand the requirements and specifications of FTTH link design, installation and maintenance.
- Acquire hands on familiarization with fiber optic components specification, tools and equipment.
- Acquire hands on familiarization with practical FTTH cable installation, maintenance and testing.
- Acquire hands on familiarization with practical FTTH link acceptance and commissioning testing requirements and documentation.
CERTIFICATION
At the end of the course, the participants will receive 3 certificates;
- FOA Certificate (issued by Fiber Optic Association, Inc. or FOA and subject to test result)
- Certificate of Competency (jointly issued by SIGtech and Fiber Optic Association of Malaysia (FOAM)
- Certificate of Attendance (issued by SIGtech)
