Upon completion of the program, participants will be able to:
1. Apply core telecommunication and fiber optic principles to support the installation, testing, and maintenance of digital connectivity networks including FTTH, OSP, and IoT-enabled systems.
2. Perform end-to-end fiber optic installation, splicing, and measurement tasks using industry-standard tools such as OTDR, OLTS, OPM, and fusion splicers, while producing accurate technical reports.
3. Interpret and troubleshoot fiber, FTTH, and digital network performance issues through power budget analysis, link evaluation, and structured diagnostic processes.
4. Demonstrate compliance with national safety standards and certifications (NTMSP, AESP, CA1C, CA2C, CFOSH) including pole proficiency, safe work practices, and onsite operational readiness.
5. Integrate smart connectivity solutions by understanding the relationship between fiber infrastructure, IoT devices, customer premises networks, and Malaysia’s broader digital infrastructure ecosystem.
6. Communicate professionally and prepare for employment through effective teamwork, customer interaction, resume development, interview skills, and basic personal financial management.

Upon completion of the program, participants will be able to:
1. Explain the fundamentals of telecommunication, optical fiber communication systems, and 5G network principles, including their roles in supporting national digital infrastructure.
2. Identify and differentiate various types of optical fiber cables, connectors, and passive components, and apply appropriate selection based on design and installation requirements.
3. Perform end-to-end fiber optic installation, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting using industry-standard tools such as OLTS, OTDR, and power budget analysis for FTTH, OSP, and backbone networks.
4. Design and plan fiber optic networks and projects, including route selection, materials estimation, risk assessment, documentation, and implementation according to industry best practices and certification standards (CFOT, CFOSD).
5. Demonstrate compliance with national technical and safety competency standards, including NTMSP, AESP, AGTES, CA1C, and CA2C, while applying safe work practices in field deployment environments.
6. Showcase employability and professional readiness through effective communication, resume development, interview preparation, teamwork, and basic personal financial management, aligned with structured career development pathways.
